Jodensavanne UNESCO heritage

Visit the archaeological remains of Jodensavanne and the Cassipora Creek cemetery. This site on the Suriname River became UNESCO World Heritage in 2023 and tells the story of an autonomous Sephardic Jewish community as well as free and enslaved people of African and Indigenous descent who lived there.
